Insta Pot Duo Mini
It’s always a treat to get a kitchen gadget as a holiday gift and this year, the Insta Pot Duo Mini is in demand. The device is designed to be used by anyone, including big families, even though it’s a mini version.

Product Details
This is a 7-in-1 appliance replacing a slow cooker, pressure cooker, saute cooker, rice cooker, yogurt maker, steamer, and warmer.
- The front of the Insta pot has an easy-to-read screen with clear push buttons for operation with 14 one-touch presets.
- You can also select the easy delayed start (up to 24 hours) feature.
- If you cook something and want to keep it warm, the pot has a “keep warm” feature.
- There’s also a prominent cancel option if you accidentally make the wrong selection and need to start over.
- The Duo Mini can sense the set cooking time and will stop when the appropriate time has elapsed. However, during the cooking phases, the pot will change how hot the food is cooked or lower it so that the food is cooked correctly.
- This can cook up to 6 uncooked cups of rice (which becomes 12 cups once cooked).

Keurig K-Classic Coffee Maker
A cup of coffee whenever you want it in less than a minute is an ideal gift for coffee lovers at home or at the office. The Keurig K-Classic Coffee Maker can have coffee ready first thing in the morning or can be used for a quick pick-me-up at any time.

Product Details
- This gadget can brew whatever coffee you like in three different cup sizes: the smaller 6-ounce selection, the regular 8-ounce size, or the larger 10-ounce cup.
- You can make a cup once just for yourself, or you can fill up the 48-ounce reservoir to have coffee throughout the day or to share with others.
- The Keurig has a drip tray that can be removed from the front bottom of the machine. This aids in easy cleaning.
- You can have your favorite brands in not only coffee but in hot cocoa and tea as well. It’s recommended that you stick with Keurig products, but some people do use other brands.
- You put in whatever kind of coffee you want, pick the ounces you desire, and the machine does the rest. The maker can use the prepacked Keurig cups in a wide variety of flavors, including decaf.
- If you don’t want to use pod coffee, you can get one of the reusable coffee filters that’s designed for use with the Keurig and use your own ground coffee beans.

Kitchen gadgets make good presents for busy moms, indeed. I bought an Insta Pot this past summer and I’m yet to use it. With the crowd gone, it just doesn’t make sense to do a whole lot of cooking at one time, anymore. Since it’s still in its original packaging, perhaps, I’ll gift someone with it. 😊

I usually use my Kuereg using regular coffee and a coffee filter. The filters have to be changed every so often because they get clogged, but you can buy them seperately.

Not a fan of the Kcups (even with the filter)?

Those are great gifts! I would love to get an insta pot, and I can think of friends who would like the Keurig. I know someone who has one and everyone in her house used it.

Now that I am back in a tiny kitchen home, I’ve learned to choose those items that I desperately need instead of the conspicuous consumption array that might have obtained when I had a 400 square feet kitchen area.

I think about that sometimes — if I had a smaller kitchen, I would have to think about that. However, some of these do make my life easier so it’s a balance!

Great ideas for kitchen gifts. Even though it’s only the end of October, Christmas will be here soon!

So true! Time is flying!

Dominique, what a great gift guide! Being a compulsive cook, I already have everything I need. However, I’ve discovered new uses for old favorites like the Keurig: put 16 frozen cooked shrimp in a 15-oz bowl, and run the Keurig on Hot Water option until the shrimp are covered. Wait 5 minutes, stirring a couple of times. Now drain and take the tails, if any, off. Repeat if you like firm shrimp. Drop them into your stirfry now, or chill ’em back in the fridge while you finish prepping that Shrimp Caesar Salad. Time and dish saver! 🙂

That is a great idea!

I need to learn to use my instapot. Right now, it just takes up space. My sister loves hers though.
